Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the SlapMe iOS application ("App") or this website ("Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App or Site.

These Terms apply to all users of the App, including free and Premium subscribers.

2. Description of Service

SlapMe is an iOS application that detects physical slapping gestures on your iPhone using the accelerometer and plays sound effects in response. The App includes:

• A free tier with rotating catalog sounds and advertisements
• A Premium subscription that unlocks sound selection, custom recordings, file import, and ad-free experience
• A sound catalog delivered from our backend servers

3. User Accounts

SlapMe does not require you to create an account. Your device is identified by a randomly generated UUID stored in the iOS Keychain. This identifier is used to associate your subscription and usage statistics with your device.

4. Premium Subscription

a) Billing. Premium subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store. Prices are displayed in the App at the time of purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

b) Cancellation. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods.

c) Restoring Purchases. If you reinstall the App or change devices, use the "Restore Purchases" feature to recover your Premium status.

d) Price Changes. We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. You will be notified of price changes before they take effect.

5. User-Generated Content

The App allows you to record and import audio files as custom slap sounds. By using this feature, you confirm that:

• You have the right to use any audio you record or import
• Your recordings do not infringe on any third party's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
• Your recordings do not contain illegal, harmful, or offensive content

All recordings and imported files are stored locally on your device only and are not uploaded to our servers.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Attempt to access our backend API in an unauthorized manner
• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's services or servers
• Use automated tools to generate excessive requests to our backend
• Sell, sublicense, or redistribute the App

7. Intellectual Property

All content in the App — including but not limited to sound files, code, design, and trademarks — is owned by or licensed to Armağan Başkan. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

SlapMe is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or related to SlapMac or any other application.

8. Sound Catalog

The sound catalog is delivered from our backend servers. We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove sounds from the catalog at any time. Availability of specific sounds is not guaranteed. Premium subscribers may select any available sound; free users hear a rotating selection.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

We are not responsible for any damage to your device resulting from use of the App, including but not limited to damage caused by physically slapping your phone.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ARMAĞAN BAŞKAN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR PREMIUM IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to our backend services at our discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to us, other users, or third parties.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Turkey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Istanbul, Turkey.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
