1. Who We Are

SlapMe is developed and operated by Armağan Başkan ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the SlapMe iOS application ("App") and this website ("Site").

2. Information We Collect

a) Device Identifier

We generate and store a random UUID (universally unique identifier) on your device. This ID is stored in the iOS Keychain and persists across reinstalls. It is used to:

• Associate your slap statistics with your device
• Identify your RevenueCat subscription across reinstalls
• Prevent duplicate registrations on our server

This identifier is not tied to your name, email, or Apple ID.

b) Usage Statistics

We collect anonymous usage statistics including:

• Total slap count
• Sound selections (by category)
• App version and OS version
• Device locale (language/region)

This data is associated with your device identifier and used to improve the app experience and sound catalog.

c) Analytics (Firebase)

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with the app. Firebase may collect:

• App events (e.g., slap detected, sound selected)
• Device model and OS version
• Country (not precise location)
• Session duration

Firebase Analytics data is processed by Google. See Google's Privacy Policy.

d) Purchases (RevenueCat)

If you purchase SlapMe Premium, your purchase is processed through Apple's App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives your device identifier and purchase receipt data. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

e) Advertising (Google AdMob)

Free users see ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device advertising identifiers (IDFA) and usage data to serve relevant ads, subject to your App Tracking Transparency (ATT) consent. We request your tracking permission before enabling personalized ads. See Google's Privacy Policy. Premium subscribers do not see ads.

f) Microphone & Audio Files

If you use the recording feature, audio is recorded and stored locally on your device only. We do not upload, store, or transmit your recordings to our servers. Imported audio files are also stored locally only.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To operate and improve the SlapMe app
• To serve and manage your Premium subscription
• To display ads to free users (via AdMob)
• To analyze aggregate usage patterns and improve the sound catalog
• To prevent abuse of our backend services

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share limited data with the following third-party service providers solely to operate the app:

• Google Firebase — Analytics and crash reporting
• RevenueCat — Subscription management
• Google AdMob — Ad serving (free users only)

All third-party providers are required to protect your data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

5. Data Retention

We retain your device identifier and associated usage statistics for as long as necessary to provide the service. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us. Analytics data is retained per the default policies of Firebase (14 months).

6. Children's Privacy

SlapMe is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access — Request a copy of the data we hold about your device
• Deletion — Request deletion of your device's data from our servers
• Opt-out of tracking — Deny ATT permission when prompted to opt out of personalized ads

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Your device identifier is stored in the iOS Keychain, which is encrypted by the operating system. Our backend communicates over HTTPS.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
